On Tuesday, August 18th, Chief Judge Wimes is hosting a brown bag lunch at the Charles Evans Whittaker U.S. Courthouse in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The lunch will be held from 12-1 pm. Please join the Federal Bar Association Chapter for the Districts of Kansas & Western Missouri in welcoming Magistrate Judge Jennifer B. Wieland of the District of Kansas to the bench with a special 90-minute Brown Bag Lunch & CLE at the Robert J. Dole Courthouse in Kansas City, Kansas on September 9, 2026. A Brown Bag/bring your own lunch meal will begin at 12:00, followed by a one-hour CLE (applications for credit in KS & MO pending) from 12:30-1:30 titled, “The Devil’s in the Details—Things to Remember When Filing Your Next Civil Case in the District of Kansas.” This is a great opportunity to meet Judge Wieland and learn more about litigating cases in the District of Kansas, while earning CLE credit and mingling with peers.
